Planting Pastor
Pastoral Trainee
A group of members primarily from Grace Bible Church in Holland Park sought to plant a church in Redland City in 2024. The desire was to see the local church built up and the gospel advanced throughout the Redlands.
Under God, this endeavour was blessed by the amalgamation of Thornlands Bible Church. On the 10th of September 1973, the church held its first worship service and over 50 years later, sharing the same vision for the gospel of Christ, decided to amalgamate into what would become Grace Bible Church Thornlands. On the 15th of September 2024, we held our first official service.
The Lord has guided and blessed us to where we are, so we are confident of our days being held in His hands as we seek to see more local churches planted in the Redlands to the praise of His glory and grace.

I used to be an academic and completed my PhD in environmental studies. During this time, and after a long journey dealing the claims of Jesus, I became a Christian. I married Heidi, the love of my life, and our family is just getting started.
I have been a member of Grace Bible Church since 2018, studied at Queensland Theological College, and was ordained as a pastor in our church in 2023.
I love church history and have been influenced by saints like Augustine, Calvin, Bavinck, CS Lewis, Corrie Ten Boom and my mum.
My passions are engaging our culture with the gospel and seeing lives shaped by knowing God in Christ.
I was fortunate to be raised in a Christian home which made me aware of my sin and need for a Saviour. After becoming a Christian in my early years, I married Kristi-Leigh and together, we have had the pleasure of raising two children, Hezekiah and Danielle.
I completed the Bachelor of Paramedic Science and the Graduate Diploma of Education, which led me into a career as a Teacher for 7 years.
I have been a member of Grace Bible Church since 2021. I will be studying at QTC, and interning with the church, with the purpose of being equipped for ministry.
