Whether you are visiting us or perhaps looking for a new church, we know attending a church for the first time can be a hard step for many. So, we want to help your first Sunday with us go smoothly. Feel free to let the greeting team know you are new and they will help you feel welcome.
Here is what you may want to know.
Our service begins at 9:00AM on Sunday morning, but many of us come within the half-an-hour before it begins for a bit of fellowship and coffee. It’s a nice time that warms the heart for worship.
Our church is made up of people of all ages and life stages.
On a regular Sunday, our kids head to Grace Kids for the whole service (Sunday School for ages 4-11). The ministry lasts for two hours which gives our parents an opportunity for morning tea and fellowship after the service.
The first and last Sunday of the month are special. On the first Sunday of the month, we share a potluck brunch together, and on the last Sunday of the month, everyone stays in the service as one big family, including our kids.
Our church is on 131 Boundary Road, Thornlands – just across the road from Coles.
There is limited parking available at the church, but plenty of off-site parking. We dedicate church parking spaces for newcomers and those who have mobility issues.
Off-site parking is found on the church side of Boundary Road and on Woodlands Drive and is only a short walk to the church.
For those who may use public transport, there are two bus stops only a short walk away from the church: Boundary Rd at Panorama Drive (260m) and Woodlands Drive at Boundary Rd (90m).
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly members. They’ll welcome you and answer any question you may have including the locations of our amenities and Sunday school. If the service has already started, don’t worry, they’ll help you find a seat.
Our members dress quite variably, so please come in whatever you feel comfortable with. We also have air conditioning to help on those more difficult days.
After the service, we’d love for you to stay and so that we can get to know you over our attempt at barista level coffee, morning tea or our potluck brunch.
We run a variety of ministries throughout the week. These include our home groups (Grace Groups) and our youth groups (Grace Youth). Both groups meet weekly during the school terms. During the summer holidays, we have groups that meet weekly in the park to reach out to the community.
